Related to the community- How can I play?
The steps in detail:
- Click on "Game info".
- Click on "Sign-up".
- Choose the type of membership and click on "continue":
- The free of charge version is best to get to know the game, though is limited in functionality.
- The Plus Player version only costs 10 Euro per season and offers you many addional features. As Plus Player you may in one community with users playing free of charge.
- The Pro Player version only costs 12,50 Euro per season and offers you even more features above the Plus Player. It is aimed at experienced users, who would like to play in their own Pro Player communities.
- Here are four choices:
- You've already received an invitation with community name and password. This means you would like to join a private community. Please enter the community name and password on the next screen and click on "Continue".
- You've already received only the community name. This means you'll join on open community. Search for the community name in the list and select the box to the left of it. Then click on "Continue".
- You would like to create a new community for anybody: Choose "Create open community" and enter its name. Then click on "Continue".
- You would like to create your own private community for yourself and your friends: Choose "Create private community" and enter name and password. Then click on "Continue".
- Now you only need to create your account: Please enter at least user name, password and your first name an click on "Continue" - start playing!
- How can I convert my current account into a Plus Player account?
Please log in first. You may make your account via this link a Comunio.es Plus Player. (You can also find this link under "Administration" -> "Change user data". Your bids, points etc. are not changed by becoming Plus Player. You can become Plus Player independent of your other community members. Here the Plus Player features are described. New users automatically get the Plus Player features in the first 14 days free of charge! - How can an existing community converted to a Pro Player community, so that every member is keeping his team?
The community manager may convert his community via this link. (The link can also be found under "Administration" -> "Community administration". All teams, bids, points etc. remain untouched. All Pro Player features are described here. - May I become Pro Player in my community by myself or must all members become Pro Player?
Because of their extra features Pro Player are likely to receive more points than non-Pro Player. Due to fairness it's not possible to become Pro Player by yourself in a non-Pro Player community. - How can I invite people into my community?
Anyone that receives the community name and password (for private communities) can join. For simplicity we provide a form to invite new members after signing up. All you need to enter is name and e-mail of the person to invite. Of course you may modify the invitation text as you wish. With a click on "Continue" all invitations are send by e-mail. Any community member can also invite new members under "Administration" -> "Invite new members". Another possiblity is our "Member exchange forum", where you can advertise your community with a short description. - How can I convert an open community into a private one?
The community manager must set a community password under "Administration"->"Community management". - How can I convert a private community into an open one?
The community manager must delete the community password under "Administration"->"Community management". - How many members should/may a community have?
Theoretically more than 25 are possbile. Nevertheless between five and 18 is a good target value, because in every match only around 25 players are rated, i.e. the more members the community has, the less players that receive points a member has. Too few members is also bad, as the competition is low and transfer negotiation is mainly done with the computer which is not as exciting as with other members. In the course of the game you might also swap players which is not possible with the computer. - Where do I see who else is in the community and what teams they have?
Under "Standings" you'll see who's in your community and their points. You can inspect their teams by clicking on their names. If a new member joins your community it is also announced in the community news. ("XYZ has joined"). - What are the numbers in parentheses next to the logged in players?
The number in parenthesis is the number of minutes since the last action. - Can I play alone?
Yes, you may play on your own: In such a case we suggest to join an open community (without password). All by yourself in your own community is of course also possible, but you won't get to know many aspects of the game. We therefore disadvice this method. - How do I know that none of my friends has already founded a community?
Quite simple: If you haven't received a community name and password by someone else, you're the first one and can start a new community for you and your friends. - Can I play in more than one community?
Yes, but not with the same user name. You must resignup for every community. If you're already logged in and would like to do something in another community, you must re-login with the new user name. - Can I signup more than once for one community?
Yes, even this is possible with multiple user name. As you could have unfair advantages with this other members of your community will certainly not tolerate this. The community manager may impose a penalty, expel you from the community or the members can simply create a new community without you! - What authorizations / possiblities does the community manager have?
The community manager has the following rights and possiblities:
- Changing of the community settings:
- Community name
- Community password for private communities
- Number of days after which bids expire and the computer would accept/decline them (1-9)
- Number of days after which bids from community members expire (1-9, only for Pro Player communities)
- Number of players the computer offers on the exchange market (0-13 or 0-25 in Pro Player communities)
- Number of days after which a community member may put a newly bought player on the exchange market (0-365)
- Starting conditions for new members (20 M starting budget + randomly assigned team or 40 M starting budget and no team)
- Setting for the next season
- Activation/Deactivation of salaries (only in Pro Player communities)
- Community description
- Setting of the payment method in Pro Player communities
- Deleting members
- View the (encrypted) IP of community members and the time of the last action
- Send warn e-mails to community members
- Setting/Removal of community management rights
- Setting/Removal of the champion and red lantern icons (additionally DFB-Pokal and championship stars in Pro Player communities)
- Impose penalties or bonuses
- Tranfer nullification
Related to players- Why is a player's position defence/midfield/offense although he's playing on another position for his club?
To keep objectivity and provide planning reliability, Comunio.es use positions of the club's squad. In general positions are only adjusted in the winter and summer break. When this happens we'll change the player's position as well. - When are position reworked/changed?
In general Comunio.es is reworking the positions in the summer break, sometimes in the winter break as well. - What happens to players the leave the Liga BBVA, e.g. relegate or transfer into another league?
When it's certain that a player will leave the Liga BBVA, e.g. by relegation, his market value is frozen, i.e. the market value doesn't change any more and the player will not be placed on the exchange market by the computer any longer. Exception: If a club's relegation is already certain before the end of the season, its players will only be deactivated after the end of the season. You can always sell player to the computer for the (frozen) market value. To do so please place the player on the exchangemarket an weit for an offer by the computer on the next day. - What do the icons of the player status display for Pro and Plus Player mean?
| the player is fit | | the player is off-color, may become fit till the next match though | | the player is injured | | the player is yellow banned | | the player is red banned | | the player is yellow-red banned | | the player is on national team leave | | the player is suspended or disregarded for some other reason | | the player is not playing in the Liga BBVA any more | | the player is in rehabilitation |
Related to lineup and points calculation- How are the Points calculated?
Every game day you receive points for the lined up players of your team based on the real performance of the player in the Liga BBVA. The basis of valuation is listed in the rules. - Why haven't I received points for the last game day?
Has your balance been negative after the last transfers before the start of the game day? If the balance is negative, no points are awarded according to the rules. Please don't forget to confirm your lineup with the button "Play with this lineup" before the start of the game day! Maybe points have been awarded but positve an negative points cancel each other out. - After the last transfers before the start of the games my account balance was positive, but is now negative. Will I receive points for the game day?
If you account balance is not negative directly after the last transfer event before the start of the game day (approx. at 7 a.m.), you'll receive points. In this case you'll also receive points even though your balance becomes negative during the game day, e.g. saturday night or sunday morning. - After the last transfers my balance is negative an a game day is starting. Would I get points if the community manager reverts a transfer?
If your balance has been negative directly after the last transfer event before the start of the game day, you will not receive any points even if your community manager would nullify a transfer retroactively! - Why do I come up with more points in my calculation, than the computer has awarded me?
a) Have you had one position left open? For every open position you receive according to the rules -4 points. b) Do you think the computer has overlooked a goal? Unfortunately it's not always clear who has scored the goal and different sources state different scorers. In such cases we follow the statistics of as.com. Also be aware that a penalty goal is awared 3 points regardless of the player's position. - When will I finally receive points?
The points are calculated after the end of the last match of the game day. Normally this happens the same day or the day after at night. You can look it up in the Calendar. Occassionally no login is possible during the calculation. On holidays the points calculation is usually moved to the next working day. - What are the substitute players for?
As Pro Player you may specify one substitute per tactical position. The substitute comes into play, if one of your starting players does not receive points and is not rated, i.e. not playing at all or only for a short period and therefore not receiving a grade, no goal scored and not sent off the field.
Related to standings- Where can I see my fellow players points?
Under "Standings" you'll find the current ranking of your community. - What do the symbols next to the user under "Standings" mean?
At the end of the season the community manager may set the champion icon for the winner and the red lantern for the one finishing last. Some communities have arranged an internal cup for which Pro Player communities may additionally assign a cup icon. This internal cup is not organized by the computer, but arranged by the users themselves. For example at certain game days members compete against each other and whoever receives more points on that game day advances to the next round. This can be continued to the final. - How's winning, if two or more users have the same points at the end of the season?
If there's a tie the team value at the change from the old to the new season decides. If you would like to use a different criteria internal to your community, the community manager may award the champion and red lantern icons under "Administration"->"Manage community members" manually.
Related to the exchange system and budget- How are the market values determined?
When a player is bought from the computer, 8-15% of the difference between bid and market value are added to the player's old market value (for every bid that's above the target price). E.g. if player xyz (old value 20 M) is bought from the computer for 25 M and the bids were 25, 24 und 22 M, then xys's value thereafter would be 20 + 0.5 + 0.4 + 0.2 = 21.1 M (increase rate of 10%). Additionally the market value of a player may increase at most per day by 15% or 250.000, whichever is bigger. If the computer places a player on the exchange market an nobody buys the player, his market value will fall approx. 5%, i.e. the computer would offer the player the next time approx. 5% cheaper. E.g. if player xyz is on the exchange market for 20 M and nobody can buys him, his market value will fall by 1 M and thus be 19 M thereafter. In detail the algorithm is a bit more complex (e.g. it's impossible that a market value will drop to 0, the bottom is currently at 160.000). These subtleties have almost no impact on the calculation. Also transfers between community members have no impact on the market value! - Could you please place xyz on the exchange market?
The computer places players on the exchange market randomly. This behavior cannot be changed for one user or community and should ensure a long-term game spree. - Why do some players appear often on the exchange market, others never?
The computer places player randomly on the exchange market. Therefore some players may be place more often than others. - Can I see my fellow player's bids?
No, bids are hidden. I.e. other members of your community don't see your offer and you cannot see theirs. This has the advantage that your chances of acceptance of a bid are independent of when the bid was entered. If you and another member bid the same price it is decided by random who receives the player. - Why haven't I gotten a new player although my offers have been accepted and my money deducted?
Transfers are only processed at transfer times! The transfer events are listed in the Comunio.es calendar. In general transfers take place once per day. Is your offer's status "accepted", you'll get the player at the next transfer event. After the transfer, the status of the offer is "processed" - I've mistyped my bid, e.g. one extra digit. Could you please revert the transfer?
In such cases the community manager may nullify transfers under "Administration"-> "Undo transfer". The nullification is not retroactive on the points calculation, i.e. if your balance was negative on the game day and you've received no points therefore the nullification won't help you to get points. - I've placed a bid for a player, when do I get him?
For bids for players of the computer, the point in time when offers are accepted depends on when the player was placed on the exchange market and after how many days offers expire in your community. If they expire after one day, the Computer accepts and rejects offers and transfers the player after one day. If they expire after two days the computer acts two days after the player was placed on the exchange market and so on. You must be the highest bidder above the target price to get the player! - I've placed a player on the exchange market, how's bidding for it when?
Immediately after you have placed a player on the exchange market all other members of your community can bid for this player. You can either accept or decline those offers. The computer will place a bid on the next day, which you can also accept or decline. If in your community bids expire after one day you need to decide quickly. If they expire after two or more days, the offer remains open longer accordingly. Hint: The Computer always bids about the market value (+/-5%) of the player. If the Computer should bid less than market value, you can - in case it's not urgent - place the player once again on the exchange market and wait for a possibly better offer on the next day! - Why aren't player's of a deleted member placed on the exchange market?
If a community member is deleted, his/her players are locked for 20 days. After this period the players return to the computer. Only thereafter they may come up on the exchangemarket again. In Pro Player communities, for the same reason, the last owner is still shown in the player search during the locked period. - When do players from promoted teams or new entrants show up on the exchange market?
Players of promoted team and new national entrants are usually entered until the change for the new season occurs. These player may appear on the exchange market thereafter. New entrants from foreign countries are usually entered from july 1st on.
Related to the newsletter, sending and receiving e-mail- Why should I subscribe the newsletter, how often is the newsletter send?
Every friday the free-of-charge newsletter informs on Comunio.es and the Liga BBVA:
- New features
- Special Comunio.es events and offers
- An extensive preview on the next game day with fixtures, a list of injured and locked players
- Interesting stats
- A concise list of transfers of your community
Before week-ends with no games, normally no newsletter is sent. - How can I subscribe to the newsletter?
You can subscribe to the newsletter under "Administration" -> "change user data". Please note that you also must confirm your e-mail address to receive the newsletter. - Why can't any of my fellow players send me e-mail? / Why don't I receive the newsletter although I've entered a correct e-mail address?
Before you can receive e-mails or the newsletter, you must confirm your e-mail address: After entering your e-mail address (e.g. during signup) you should receive an e-mail. In this e-mail you'll find a confirmation link. You must visit this link to confirm your address! If you change your e-mail address you'll receive a new confirmation mail.
Related to the season end/season start- How do we continue next season? What's the "change of seasons"
Every community manager can choose one out of four choices how to continue the next season under "Administration"->"Manage Community":
- Every member is keeping his team and budget an receives an extra 5 Mio. for new acquisitions.
- Every member gets a new team of 15 players assigned and again 20 Mio. starting budget - as in the beginning.
- Every member gets 40 Mio. starting budget, therefore no players (i.e. his current team goes to the computer).
- Every member must keep five of his players (if he doesn't select them under "Line up", he automatically keeps the five with the most points) and gets 10 additional players assigned as well as 9 starting budget or + 9 Mio. if you have a negative balance. E.g.: You have -2 M at the end of the season, then you'll start with 7 Mio. At the end of the season, if you have 20 M, then you'll start with 9 Mio. As far as possible 1 keeper, 3 defender, 4 midfielder and 2 striker are (randomly) assigned.
At the transition into the new season only communities with have been founded before the start of the last game day of the season are respected.
The transition into the new season is announced in the Comunio.es calendar an the community news in due time and takes about five hours. During this time transfers are performed and the transition mode chosen by the community manager.
Pro Player Communities can additionally use the following season transitions:
- Every member gets a team of 15 player randomly assigned. As starting budget you get 45 Mio. minus the value of the assigned player.
- Every member must keep five tradables (as above, if none are selected then the five with the most points are kept) and gets no extra players but 20 Mio. starting budget or + 20 Mio. if the user has a negative balance.
- Every member can keep as many players as they like. You must select the players to keep under "Line up". As starting budget you get one third of the sum of budget and team value on the day of the transition (from the budget a max. of 10 Mio. is included, i.e. with a balance of 15 Mio. 5 M are lost) minus the 1,5-times value above 30 Mio. the kept players or plus the difference in team value to 30 Mio., if players in value less than 30 Mio. are kept.
- For those new season options where some players are kept in my team, e.g. "Keep five", can I choose them myself?
You may choose the players under "Lineup" yourself, by checking the boxes to the right of your squad. Please confirm your selection with "Play with this lineup". - What happens to my budget when going into the new season with mode "Keep five"?
If your budget is positive it gets reset to 9 M, if your budget is negative 9 M are added. - Of which type are the newly assigned players in mode "Keep five"?
As far as possible the computer will try to assign 1 keeper, 3 defender, 4 midfielder and 2 striker of random value. - Can I select a player to keep for next season that has left the league?
Yes, you may choose a player that has left the league to keep for next season.
Miscellaneous- How can I renew my account (ahead of time)?
40 and 10 days before expiration the computer sends notices including payment conditions. Yet you may renew your account anytime by transfering the membership fee with your ID ES to this account. - I've forgotten the user name in the reason for payment. Is that a problem?
Normally this is no problem, the ID is sufficient to map a payment. Please send an e-mail to info@comunio.es, if you're account gets blocked against one's expectations. - I'm Pro or Plus Player, what are the account details again for the transfer of the membership fee?
Account holder Vivian Cardoso Moll
Account 21003084830700005158 (la Caixa)
In the case of bank transfer from abroad:
IBAN ES3421003084830700005158
BIC / SWIFT Code: CAIXESBB
In the bank transfer details please state your login and ID, e.g.
 - I'm Pro or Plus Player, what do I need to quote/regard with the transfer?
Please note the following:
- Without ID and login we cannot map the payment to your account and thus not activate it. Therefore please alsoways state your ID and your login!
- Please state the ID without points, commas or spaces!
- Please bear in mind that a bank transfer usually takes about 2-3 bank working days. Bank transfers from foreign countries even longer, usually about 5 days. As soon as the money arrived in our account, your account will automatically be activated. If you would like to know the status of your activation simply take a look at your member profil.
- If you transfer the money for more than one Plus Player or Pro Player, please state the IDs of all accounts to ease the correlation. An exception of this is the collective bank transfer for the whole community. In this case the ID and login of the person making the bank transfer is sufficient!
- Please use for EU bank transfers the IBAN/BIC Code to keep the bank transfer costs at a minimum.
- I'm Pro or Plus Player and have already transfered the membership fee. When will all features be activated?
Please check on your account statement after 7 working days, if the bank has credited the membership fees because of an transfer error again. If that's not the case please send an e-mail with the name of the account owner, date of debit entry according to the statement, your ID and user name. - Why are there different payment options?
To create a new Pro Player community, you must choose one payment option. Please note that the community manager does not have the same possiblities with the option "Everyone pays by himself" as with the other payment options, especially deletion of other members is not allowed. With the option "Community manager pays for the whole community up to ten members" the community may not become larger than ten members, i.e. when the community has ten members no further can join! - How can I terminate my Pro or Plus Player membership?
Please send a notice of termination in due time with your user name to info@comunio.es. In the last weeks of your Plus Player membership you may also cancel the membership under "Administraton". - How are the player salaries calculated?
For being even closer to reality Pro Player communities can optionally play with salaries. If you play with salaries, then every day for every player 500 EUR plus 0,1% of his market value is deducted from your budget. On game days you receive per point 30.000 instead of 10.000. - What are "Cookies"?
"Cookies" are tidy bits of information the server stores on the surfer's machine to authenticate the user during the visit. Without this authentication by "cookies" we would not be able to serve personalized pages. - How can I activate Cookies?
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x / 5.x / 6.x

- How much time do I need for the game?
How much you like! In theory you only need to line up your players once and most likely you'll sometimes receive points. Yet who's playing more often, will probably perform better. Per default it is thought that you can stay informed if you check the news and exchange market every 2-3 days. This can be changed on the community level though. In general who plays more often and is better informed about football most likely performs better. - Which HTML tags are allowed in user and community descriptions?
The following tags are currently allowed in the descriptions:
